Apples.

"I also wear a paper bag on my head."

submission: Apples.
date: May 29, 2008

I think it's great how they continue at it at the end, even though there's plenty more apples to go round.
I was wondering, how would the guy with the paper bag eat an apple anyway, without removing his paper bag? I saw no mouth on that character! And the one that was all mouth and no body, how did he manage NOT to eat it?
Simple storylline, elegant and well executed. Music was great. An all around class act. *thumbs up*

Author's Response:

That's a good question!
They didn't wan't to eat the apple anyway, they just wanted to fight over it. :)

Gone to Bel Air, brb.

"I think that"

date: May 22, 2008

it was good.
Fun. Nice. Random.
Perfect for people like me with a short attention span.
Maybe if you added something shiny in there... or a red ball...
Oh, and you spelled "End" wrong, that was the part at the end of the movie, you spelled it "edn". Might want to fix that.
I'll be waiting for your return from Bel Air, so that you can make more awesome flash movies.
=D

Author's Response:

A red ball would have fitten perfectly, I don't know why I didn't put that in! D:

I'll be back from Bel Air soon.
Thanks! :D

Love dan paladin's art style, and I think you totally nailed the flathead look in the submission. Congrats on snagging a prize for pico day, well deserved. Thanks for using my audio, and sharing a cut of the prize with me, it was a very pleasant surprise.

Well done!

Compulse

"An entertaining game"

submission: Compulse
date: March 31, 2008

The idea is unique, and it's not too hard to work out. The levels themselves are great, and the challenge of "par" and "pro" gives something to accomplish. The design is great, very open ended. The way I choose to complete a level may be completely different to the way someone else completes that same level. When the levels become tougher, it becomes more frustrating, but the music encourages patience, and, like you mentioned in one of the levels, on some levels you just need to have the endurance to work through the level.
I love playing puzzle games, and this is definitely one of the better ones. A simple, creative idea, it was well executed, and I feel like I was well rewarded, when I completed the game with all levels on or under the "pro" standard. (One, I completed with 10 blocks, when the pro level was 18). There was one issue I had. There were times when I had multiple blocks on top of eachother, and it was awkward to move around. I would move one below the group of blocks, and then click the pile again, and the one below was caught by my cursor. There was also one point where a block was in the corner just above the "go" button, and upon clicking "go", the button would move down to my cursor and into the panel where it was removed. They're just little things, but it was enough to get to me...

Overall, it's a great game, time well spent, although for a game, it doesn't have a great replay value once you've beaten the game. I'll definitely give this game a 5 and a recommendation for the puzzles collection. Great work! I always love playing your games. +Fav artist too.

Our Love

"=/ yeah"

submission: Our Love
date: March 7, 2008

That song sucks bad. I agree that the use of the guitar hero controller was funny, and the animation wasn't too bad, but I think that you could have put more detail into it. For example, instead of having the lyrics on the screen, maybe have images that reflect the lyrics. You could have it so that it's night time, and they're sitting by a camp fire, and a faded image of harry potter or gandalf would appear in the sky. That's just me with ideas, but, yeah, something like that would really bring the graphics up a notch and make it more interesting. But as it is, it was quite well done, good lip synching.
Keep it up!

Great story. It kept me entertained for the whole time, good job. Despite the lack of lip synching and other numerous cuts in animation quality ;D it shows a fair amount of effort put into telling the story.
The best animation I've seen from you yet.

Simplicity On High

"Almost as bad as the spam flashes"

submission: Simplicity On High
date: March 7, 2008

Ok, you create a flash to complain about these flashes, you really could make an improvement from that, underachievement is nothing to be proud of. I doubt it took 7 of you to make that flash, so, raise your standards a bit, if you've got something to say, you don't have to make a flash about it. I think you're all just making this flash for the attention. I find it disappointing how flashes like this can pass because of the +1 protect point voters...
Try to get an actual plot and character development next time you make a flash, and maybe then you'll get some respected attention.

Numberwang!

"It takes the reference to enjoy this game..."

submission: Numberwang!
date: March 6, 2008

I give it a 10.
I'm Simon, who's from space.
And we're both on 43 except for Julie who's behind on 67.
I prefer the show, but it's not a bad idea, gotta work on making it entertaining enough to appeal to those who don't get the reference, and maybe add more to it, so that it's less boring, it's not as fast paced as the actual show, so you've got to compensate for that.
Imaginary nimbers: Shifty-six.
Ohh... I'm afraid shifty-six is a real number...

=D

Author's Response:

If I may become a smidge esoteric for a second, I like to think that the whole point is that people don't get the game. If you get the game, then you have a slight advantage. And isn't the home game of game shows always slower than the real bit? :-P I'm sorry, I must have nodded off. I think you got Wangernumb a while ago. Did you say 6?

Andersson's Birthday

"funny"

date: March 5, 2008

It ends kind of abruptly, and it leaves me thinking "what will he do with a rocket launcher?" Nice birthday present, and a funny animation.
Graphics could be improved and the volume of the voice acting could be quieter, but overall, it was amusing, your animations are a lot different to the average flash, in terms of style.
Good work.

The Halloweenator

"Nice"

submission: The Halloweenator
date: March 5, 2008

It seems a little slow in conversation, I think that was dragged out a bit too much, but the art and animation was really great and the voice acting was pretty solid too. The ending was funny and a bit unexpected, it was done well.

Good work.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review.
I agree with you (and many others) stating that the conversation was too slow throughout the animation. This was my first attempt at comedy, and I have learned now that proper timing is vital to keep people's attention and to get the joke across. It will be a little while before I attempt another comedy.
