-firebolt-

ps. mind if you share some overflowing inspiration to me? :(
dont know if its compatible :P

If I manage to pull through and finish it, it shouldn't be epic long, but kind of english class literature long. The length of my short story on my previous blog will probably be one chapter. Maybe. I'm using size 11 text on A5 paper, and I'll probably aim for 10 pages per chapter and maybe 7-10 chapters. I don't really know, to be honest, I'm still working on a plot. It's one of those stories that doesn't really have a particular goal, like "restoring peace to *imaginary universe* by defeating the dark evil antagonist". I'm trying to write a story about a man who comes to terms with his life, it's about coping with real life. I think...
Anyway, it's pretty old fashioned, not old old fashioned, but it starts with a letter, and I think going back 10-20 years will create a sense that the world is a lot larger, and communicating long distance is not fast nor common, and the characters have to get used to living around the same group of people, no running away from your problems by going on newgrounds...

I believe I shared a bit of my inspiration there, but if you want to get your own inspiration, I suggest just taking advantage of whatever comes to mind when you have an urge to write (if you're thinking about writing something, something will generally come if you give it time). Process your ideas, whether on paper, computer, or in your mind, refine what you've got, and try and ask yourself how well you think it'll play out. I usually tend to crap everything out pretty quickly and I'll end up with a short story resembling a gerbil in a blender, but I had a few times in year 11, when I'd finish a story in a day or two, and then show it to someone, and they'd react with a "holy fucking shit", so it's good to know when you're getting the right intensity in your writing. Right now, I'm working on refining that, so that I can write longer stories, and I can continually raise the bar on my writing.

your writing a novel? wow, if you are stuck on inspiration for the antagonist, check my userpage :P

There's not gonna be an antagonist

oh... someone mildly unpleasant then?

No, the novel's conflict is going to be the main character learning to deal with his issues of real life. You could say that he's the protagonist and the antagonist.

I'm going to use a bunch of your songs in a school project, don't worry, you'll get credit, and by the time you read this I hope to be done

Are you done?

I need to remember not to start on these things 2 days before the due date, *sigh* guess I just have to keep on working

lol I do that all the time too...

story about the first time you drank Brawndo!
if you haven't make it up
say that you drank the brawndo and freaked just like what happen after mario ate a magic mushroom

I ate a chainsaw where the chainsaw was actually brawndo and my face was actually brawndo.
