I've been playing guitar since I was 10. I'm 17. He's 16, and he puts me to shame with a single chord.
Shift-1, the opera singer, the dancer, the other singer, and the guitarist, they've all got bright futures ahead. Did I mention that 5 out of the 8 finalists were in their teens or below? Amazing young talent.

The opera singer was very good, she just wasn't as entertaining as the others. For a 15 year old girl, that's really good. Jourdain wasn't all that good either, he sings and plays a little guitar. I know quite a few people that are younger than me that can sing/play piano and all that, it's not really that special. Opera is more refined, so you've gotta give her that.
Although I would have liked to see Mr Ohm in the finals, I think that his performances were too slow for the audiences tastes. He's entertaining, for sure, but people just don't seem to have much patience these days, they prefer the adrenaline stuff, like Hall's Tae Kwon Do, or that bartender/firebreather. He was good, but it didn't help that his semi final performance was the same as his audition. His act had so much potential.
After watching last night's show, I'd like to see Shift-1 perform to the sounds from Dr. Rhythm. I think that'd be a great show.

The "no age restictions" rule would probably be the biggest problem with the competition, I think 13+ to enter would be understandable. Younger than that, parents shouldn't be pushing kids into the limelight. There was also another young act, which was two pre-pubescent kids ballroom dancing. I first started performing when I was 10, but definitely not at the level these kids perform at, and it's the parent's choice, not the kids.
