Wow, what a flashback! I still have this game but alas, I never was able to complete this fantastic click-and-point adventure game. I'll skip the videos for now. :-)
But day of the tentacle was indeed one of the grandeur of classics from lucasarts. I have the agree that the jokes, writing, and the twist and turns really made this a polished game.
I don't know if you played any other classics from lucasarts including Monkey Island, Full Throttle, the Dig, or even Sam and Max: Hit the Road? (my personal favorite because of the wise-cracking duo)

It is indeed one of the greatest games I've ever played. If anyone's seriously thinking about playing this game, watching these vids might ruin it for them. But if not, or if you've finished the game before, it's just great to watch. The plot, the jokes, it's brilliance in the purest form, and yet nothing is sacred.
