Instruments.

The piano at its loudest is a bit fuzzy. The rest isn't bad, BUT, I thought I might quote you here, from the audio ad thread: "A simple piece to chill to."

I think you can bring out that chilled feeling more by doing a couple of small things. Add some very soft strings in the bass, and maybe kick the brass up an octave (it might still sound ok as it is though, I'm just trying to piece it together), tone down the brass a bit, maybe use a brass sample that isn't so punchy, the initial moment when the brass first plays is very loud and short, and a softer brass sound sustains. If you can, try and get the brass to be softer, the same volume at the start, or maybe find a brass that increases in, so that the first beat is a lot quieter, and the brass is a lot more soothing.

I think those should bring this piece to a new level, but it was still pretty good work as it is.

Cheers.

Thanks, I'll try increasing the octaves, I normally tune them down.

Not bad

I think the drums could use some extra punchiness to them. The lead is kinda weird, but interesting. Bass was good. You probably could've mixed it up some more and made it a bit longer, it was a bit repetitve. But overall, it was a pretty good song, unique.

Would you mind reviewing my last song please?
Cheers.

Lol nice title.

Drums are cool, fast and energetic. Melody is catchy. I like how it passes from instrument to instrument. It adds to the driving rhythm. I'd like some more bass though.

Ooh, piano is nice. Great solo there.
It's kinda quirky, but overall, it's a real nice danceable beat. I dig it.
Great work.

Also, would you mind dropping a review on my latest submission?

Cheers.

SolusLunes responds:

Sure, I'll drop by sometime later today and check it out.

I don't know what she's singing...

But it sounds great!
Music is great too. It's all great.
I like the mix of drum n bass and vocals, I'd like to try adding vocals to something of mine someday...
I decided to give you a 10 instead of a 5, sorry to disappoint you...
Well done.
Also, if you don't mind, could you find the time to drop a review on my latest song please?
Cheers.

Rucklo responds:

She sings "latradiluttan" or something like that. It mean nothing. :)

Good job

The instruments sit pretty well, everything is pretty clear. It loops fairly well. For a short term project, this was enjoyable, it was done well.

Good job knux.

knuxrouge responds:

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Your latest inspired me to use the 3x osc, that gives it its docile kick in the background. I give partial credit to you.

I <3 this game

This is a great song and your version of it is excellent. I think it's a little too long at 5 minutes, but you did add a lot of stuff to the song.
Solo at 3:15 = win.

Great job, my man, great job.

PaulyBFromDa303 responds:

Naw, 5 minutes is perfect LOL.

I'm glad you like, bro. Thnx again.

Agree with Naysly

If you turn it down just a bit before you export it in FL it'll sound a lot cleaner. The melody comes out over the bass well though, so that was good. The minimal percussion suits it aswell. I'd also turn the brass down a tad also, just because brass is very dominant, so you can turn it down and it'll still be heard in the mix.

Not bad, it's just those small issues, resolve them and you'll have a nice track.

knuxrouge responds:

Okay, thanks. Your comments have been noted.

Drums too loud

That's my main issue, also, I think it would be better if you brought out a more prominent melody alongside the quirky harmony and bass. Apart from that, it's pretty good.

Cheers.

NavLoops responds:

Thanks for reviewing! Its supposed to be intense, but I guess it would do a bit better if it was quieter... However, due to the mastering (not mixing), the drums would get covered up if I did that.

Beat

Ok, I've got to say that I love the beginning, it just gets straight into it. Very powerful kick. Catchy tune, awesome beat. Synths are sexy =P
Progression is pretty decent. It's a great gritty dance track. 2:15 new section introduces the lighter synths I was longing to hear, that section is a little too short, I think. It's got a nice, almost Irish jaunty swing to it.

Top notch dance track.

Psybot responds:

Hey! =)
That part at 02:15 is also at 00:40.
It is kinda short because i think that its just a part to slow down and to make it a little mysterious. heh

Thx for your review =)

Here's what I think

Too much going on in the bass = not so good.
Choir preset doesn't work.
High end blips are annoying.
Progression needs to be mixed up a bit more, otherwise you need to make it more catchy. Melody around 2 mins is dissonant.
This song is weird, all those clashes of instruments and pitch, were they purposeful. If so, then it's kinda good, not really memorable. If not, then you've got a lot of work to do before this song becomes decent.
3/5.

MrSteak63 responds:

Well the musical idea I was going for is the slow confusion of messing around with LSD, so the opposite instruments and pitch were on purpose as I thought they added to it, giving it that confused, odd, and yet still in motion feeling.
