Yes, the mix is good.

The different parts sit right where they should. Also, <3 the panning, that sounds really cool. The instruments work well with eachother, the strings (it is strings?) are nice and soft, the brass is good in the lead, goes well with the static piano in the bass.
Good work, knux. It's spot on.

Thanks, I'm finally getting it down. There are no strings, sytrus.

I think

that parts of this sound like they'd fit in one of "the sims" games. It has that chilled, kind of ambient, soothing feeling about it. The blips in there aren't too classical, but they have their quirky charm. If you want to go a full classical song by the book, try just going with the piano, or piano and strings, and keep it interesting through variations of the melody, rather than adding a new instrument here and there. It's a real nice song, but, being the classical enthusiast that I am, and being as you asked for tips, there's a couple for free. ;D
Well done, it's a nice all round song.

This is nicely done

I'd love to hear vocals with this. It's a sweet song. It's catchy, the progression is great. The piano sounds like it'd be fun to play live. The drums and strings add a real nice touch to it. Just needs vocals, and you could leave it at that. It's just simply complete.
Well done.

You sing well...

I'll give you that. The arrangement of the song is also pretty decent, but dammit, the recorded instruments are so damn messy. You'd have a very good song if it weren't for the dirty guitar and muffled drums. This sort of upbeat song NEEDS to have a clear cut clean recording.
Good job on writing and singing it though. I enjoyed that part.

Well, I was trying to make it sound dirty, I think it sounds to poppy without all the dirt rubbed in.

This is cool

The synths work well together. It does have a bit of an ambient texture to it.
This song could really use drums though.
Nice work. It's a sweet song.

13 Months!

Congrats on the commitment!
The intro is great. The part between that and where the vocals come back in, I think there needs to be more bass, there's not enough holding it up imo. The synths remind me of tetris. ^_^
I think you could probably tone them down a bit though, when the vocals return for the first time. The bass after that isn't as bad. The strings are a nice touch. The ending is good.
Also, I feel that the crash cymbal was too overused for my tastes.
But on the whole, it was an enjoyable song, the vocals were brilliant. Nice work.

I was wondering when you were going to release som

ething new.

I've been trying to incorporate the theme of the northern lights into a song for quite a few months now, and you stole it from me >:(
But it sounds awesome, so I guess I'll forgive you thar.
I really like how it kicks off at 1:03, the drums and bass are quite high in the mix (for an ambient song), but that doesn't detract from the ambiance of the piece, it kind of adds to the drive. I really dig the slow progressive feel it gives, like the song is going somewhere. It's pretty.
<3 this
Faving and fiving.
Awesome!

Ok, now I'm getting the spanish vibe.

I feel this one conveys the spanish style better than your other one. The lead has a very Mediterranean/Spanish feel to it. I think that it blends quite well with the hip hop beat. The bass is pretty good, again. However, like the other one, this is also a bit too repetitive for me, I think that if you take the lead higher up and give it a solo type thing in the middle, that'd really mix the song up and make it less repetitive.
But again, overall, it's a great, clear mix, and it is enjoyable.
Nice job.

Writing as I listen

I think the different layers of the song come together well, the instrumental blend sounds cool. The shaker in the background is catchy. The lead is very rhythmic, and it's very nice. The bass is great, it's limited, but it fills in at the right places. I think it could use with some more variation, it is quite repetitive, it could use a variation on the main theme. I wasn't hearing the spanish influence too well, I think if you had've gone with a flamenco guitar at the beginning, instead of the spoken word, that spanish vibe would have conveyed itself a lot better. But overall, it is a tightly played piece, and is quite catchy,so I'll give you that.
Good job.

It's a great beginning.

I'd love to hear it when the whole orchestra gets going. I'm in a classical mood, so I think this is great. NickPerrin has done a killer orchestral remake from castlevania, called "The Belmont Legend", so, if you run short on inspiration, you could go there ;D

His harpsichord introduction is the same melody to your piano at the end, I think. But it's all good. Feel free to PM me with a link once the full version is up. I'd like to hear it.

Cheers.

well obviously parts are going to sound the same seeing as its the same song we both remade, but hopefully the way I do some things will be a bit different. Thanks for the review (and the 10 :D )
