Cool

This is a nice riff. I'd love to put my guitar in there instead of the slayer though, the slayer gets a bit overwhelming after a while, I'd like to see a bit more variation here.

I'd also love to hear a bit of a string section in the background, a bit of an orchestral touch about halfway through to take the edge off the guitar.

Keep 'em coming.

Thanks WB, I'm glad you liked it. Your comments have been noted.

heh slayer

Sounds alright, slayer is fun to mess with, but only a handful of people can get a realistic sound out of it, I prefer a real guitar.
But for just messing about, it's pretty cool.

knuxrouge responds:

Thanks, I'm gonna look for an actual guitar VST soon for the collab.

Better, already.

Drums were good. The mix of instruments were good, now I think you need to extend upon what you've already got to fill it out, make it more exciting. It would be great to have a contrasting section that is much more busy and full of energy to contrast what you have now, which is fairly quiet. That would give the song a great atmosphere and bring the whole thing to life.

Keep em coming, you're making decent progress for your second song.

Thanks for your review, I'll be sure to have a diverse selection of music, especially when I get the skill to compose a Sonic remix.

This is nice

Nice intro. I'm liking the beat that comes in at 53 secs. The mix of synths is good. Progression is smooth, a little snazzy. Lead at around 2.20-ish is a little too soft, I think, it'll sound really awesome pushed up in the mix more. Also, I'd like to see the chorus type synths pushed up at the end, so it would finish on a grand, almost epic note. I think it ends too abruptly also, maybe finish with a long note ringing out, that'd sound pretty cool. Overall, it's a great piece, reading your comments, the impression I get is of a futuristic, kind of science fiction city landscape, it'd work great in a sci-fi movie soundtrack.
Sounds very professional. Great job. I'll help you boost the score with a 5, how's that sound? ;D

RyeGuyHead responds:

5s are nice

Yeah, this is a cool song

It sounds pretty good despite the obvious use of programmed guitars. Lead is cool, that part is the most impressive part of the song. Love the dirty punk/metal types sounds you've got going here. It'd sound awesome with live guitars and maybe some cool vox.

Nice work. I'll fifen it.

nal1200 responds:

Yeah, my original intention was to wait until I got home to record with my electric guitar, but I just couldn't wait! Plus, the shitty Comp. Mic I have would DEFINITELY not record that hard pumping sound I wanted for this.

Thanks for your review!

Sounds pretty cool

It's pretty well played out. It's a great song, but it doesn't exactly blow me away if you know what I mean, there's something, but I just can't quite put my finger on it...
Love the synth though, it sounds real nice, I'll give you that. The orchestra is real sweet. I love this sort of mood, I guess you could say, in a piece of music. I'm kind of like you in that sense that my music has a dark sort of feel to it even if it wasn't intentional, and that change is just refreshing, it's great to go with that sometimes. I'm gonna give you 5, for the loss of sleep over the making of this, that tells me that you worked hard at it and you're proud of it, as you should be. Good job.

Waterflame responds:

:D thank you! well when i first made this, i amazed myself a bit since ive always wanted to acomplish those kind of melodies but i cant really seem to get them right always.. so to me when i made it i was blinded by love..or..uh, something like that. when i went over it again after not beeing so hyped, i perfectly saw what you mean by that theres something lacking. and i hope that the update im making on it is gonna change that :D i guess my music comes from my mood so beeing gloomy for a long time kinda made me forget that what i really like is this. heh.. it just feels too cheezy listening to similar stuff when youre feeling down you know? its like i get embarased or something.. guess you need to be.. "up there" to truly enjoy happy go lucky tunes ;P thaks for the thick review! <3

Rule 10!

Wow, this is awesomeness. Definitely most original spin on jingle bells I ever heard, sounds like it's from some hellbent christmas videogame (santabro and his child slave factory?)
Yup, it's definitely full of that wonderful christmas spirit everyone keeps talking about =P
The rhythms and the pitch bending makes it sound so weird, but also very cool. But that's the sorta thing you need to do for chiptunes to stand out in the crowd.
5'd it.

Rucklo responds:

lol, santabro and the childslave factory is fucking ace shit man, this can't be compared...

thanx alot for the review and the vote, man, im glad you liked it! :D

The vocals

complement the song mighty finely.
People should totally have to sing this song before they're allowed to place an order for muffins in a muffin shop =P
It's even yummier than before.
Lyrics are rule 10.

Rig responds:

When they ask me what I want for breakfast in the cafeteria, I just play this song. lol
The lyrics are VERY 10, eh?

Yummy

Best bit is when you get into the real badass bass from 24 seconds to the end. Full of yummy muffiney bass frequencies.
I'll fifen it for ya.
3.95/5.00 to 4.06/5.00

Also, LOL

Rig responds:

The bass was created from muffin death-cries.
It was painful to listen to at first...but then I remembered rule 10.
:D

Nice, relaxing

Kind of has a soothing, almost ambient feel about it. Great work. 10/10, 5/5

F-777 responds:

Thanks man! I think this is my best piece so far.

I'm a writer.
